The Texas Workplace Injury Attorneys at Bailey & Galyen

If you have filed an application for benefits under the Texas workers’ compensation laws for a legitimate workplace injury, only to have your request denied, you want an experienced and aggressive lawyer to protect your rights in the dispute process. Even though the majority of work comp claims are initially denied, you can often get the benefits you need and deserve with the efforts of a knowledgeable and experienced attorney.

At Bailey & Galyen, we bring years of experience to people facing the denial of a valid workers’ compensation claim. We built our successful practice on a commitment to providing a high level of personal service and attention to every client. We will take the time to learn all the details of your case, as well as your goals, so that we can formulate a legal strategy to get the outcome you seek. We will carefully explain how the dispute process works, as well as your other options and likelihood of success, so that there are no surprises and you can make educated decisions that are in your best interests. We stress open communication on all issues, keeping you aware of all developments in your case, so that you get the results you expect.

We offer a free initial consultation to all clients. To schedule an appointment regarding a potential work comp appeal, contact us online or call us at one of the numbers listed below.

Our Workers’ Compensation Appeals Practice

We handle all matters related to denied workers’ compensation claim, regardless of the stage of the process you are in. We will help you prepare for the benefit review conference (BRC), whether a dispute resolution officer will act as a mediator in your case.

If the BRC does not result in a mutually agreeable settlement, your claim will be scheduled for a Contested Case Hearing (a CCH). In a Contested Case Hearing, the hearings officer can listen to testimony from witnesses, and will eventually render a decision. If you are dissatisfied with the ruling at the CCH, you can file an appeal to a three judge panel, which will conduct a review of the transcripts, provided the appeal is filed within 15 days. If you are still displeased with the result, you can take your claims to the District Court of Appeals and to the Texas Supreme Court, if necessary.
