Domestic Violence
Dallas, DFW, Houston Domestic Violence Defense Lawyers
Aggressive Counsel for People Across the State of Texas
When an individual is charged with domestic violence, it is often based solely on the allegations of the victim. Unfortunately, allegations of domestic violence can and often are used as tools in divorce and child custody proceedings, employed by angry or vindictive spouses to keep you from seeing your children. When you have been charged with domestic violence or abuse, you want an experienced and knowledgeable attorney to protect your rights, one who has successfully helped others facing the same challenges.
At Bailey & Galyen, our attorneys bring extensive experience to anyone charged with a crime, including domestic violence. We know the sense of helplessness that can come with a criminal charge. We place a premium on personal service and attention, taking the time to carefully listen to your questions and concerns, so that we can provide counsel uniquely designed to meet your objectives. We keep you fully advised of all developments in your case, as well as your options and likelihood of success, so that you can make intelligent decisions about how you want to proceed. We maintain a strong commitment to the highest standards of practice within our profession.

Our Domestic Violence Practice
We handle all matters related to charges of domestic violence or abuse, including proceedings involving requests for restraining or protective orders. We know from experience that most domestic violence cases turn on the testimony of the parties involved. There are seldom eyewitnesses to these types of allegations. Consequently, we will work carefully with you to strengthen the credibility of your testimony and to identity any evidence that might impeach the credibility of your accuser.
When we defend you on a charge of domestic violence, we will fully investigate the facts and circumstances of your case, looking to confirm that there was probable cause for any search, seizure or arrest. If the prosecution has physical evidence or eyewitness testimony to support the charges against you, we will determine how that evidence was obtained. If your constitutional rights were violated when the evidence was gathered, we will seek the exclusion of the evidence and/or the dismissal of all charges against you.
