Samuel Cammack received his Juris Doctorate and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Thurgood Marshall School of Law. He received the Prima Excellencia Award for finishing at the top of his class in eleven different areas of the law. While in school he won the Helen Dawn Williams Mock Trial Competition and qualified for Nationals.
Mr. Cammack was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2002. He began his legal career as a prosecutor in Harrison County, Texas, where he prosecuted cases ranging from Misdemeanor DWI to Felony Aggravated Sexual Assault. He also handled mental hearings, revocations, and bond forfeiture proceedings.
Sam Cammack is a former Felony Assistant District Attorney who counseled the East Texas Sector of the Department of Public Safety on DWI and drug prosecutions. He has worked for Justice Eva Guzman at the 14th Court of Appeals and is licensed in Federal Court. He is a member of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Criminal Trial Lawyers Association of America.
As a prosecutor and defense lawyer, Mr. Cammack has been successful in 82 of 86 actual jury trials and has handled over 8000 cases. He is a regular panelist on the CNN's Headline News "Nancy Grace" show. Mr. Cammack was also hired by the State of Oregon Public Defense Bar to represent one of its residents accused of committing a crime in Texas. He has also represented and counseled many high profile felony cases.
Mr. Cammack joined the law firm of Bailey & Galyen in 2004 where he practices Criminal Defense Law. He is located at the Houston Clear Lake office in the Criminal Law Department.
