Mildred Ashley was born in the Philippines and moved to Texas in 1992. Ms. Ashley is bilingual in Visaya/Tagalog and English. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she started college to become a nurse. Halfway through the program, she moved to Texas and later received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Arlington. She then received her law degree from Texas A&M University School of Law in May 2015 and was admitted to the bar in November 2015.

During law school, Ms. Ashley was a staff member of Texas A&M Journal of Property Law, State Bar of Texas Pro Bono College, and Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity – serving as its Historian in 2013-2014 and its President in 2014-2015. She was also a Texas A&M Fellowship Awardee in 2014 and participated in the Texas A&M Legal Clinic.

Ms. Ashley focuses her practice in "people-oriented" law. Her first two years of practice was in criminal defense and debt collection. Through her job, she has appeared in a variety courts in Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and its surrounding areas. While practicing criminal law, she has also visited most of the jails in the metroplex. In 2017, she started working with Workers Compensation law and loves practicing in this area.

In her spare time, Ms. Ashley is a voracious reader and an avid watcher of Korean Drama. She also enjoys road trips with her five children and husband. She likes to travel and walk all over foreign cities with old buildings and even older roads.
