Tim Brandenburg is an attorney passionate about representing the people injured, through no fault of their own, by the negligence of another and then further victimized by the insurance companies that delay, deny, and blame the innocent. His sole area of practice has been in the field of personal injury, making recoveries through settlement, trial, and appeal for over eight years.
Law is Tim's second career, but his first love. After graduating from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Management Information Systems in 1993, family obligations prevented him from going on to law school as planned, and he developed software applications for the next eleven years, working in such diverse areas as telecom, aviation, oil & gas, Medicaid, and banking. In 2002, with the support of his family, he began the evening program at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, which entailed year-round studies for four years. Upon completing his first year, he realized he needed real world experience to accompany his legal education to fully prepare him for his chosen focus on plaintiff's personal injury litigation and began working full-time during the day as a law clerk at an Arlington personal injury firm while continuing his evening studies. As a law clerk, Tim drafted the firm's pleadings, performed legal research, took part in the written discovery process, and assisted in trial support.
In 2004, Tim became provisionally licensed by the State Bar of Texas to practice law. During this period, he honed his skills as a litigator, taking and defending depositions, attending and taking part in hearings and trials, and engaging in settlement negotiations. In 2006, he graduated magna cum laude from Texas Wesleyan School of Law, number seven in a class of over three hundred. Tim is currently licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and in the Northern and Eastern Federal Districts of Texas. Since full licensure, he has developed a style of aggressive negotiation coupled with persuasive jury trial practice when negotiations fail, continuing to aid innocent victims in recovering for their harms and losses.
