Mr. Barlow has lived in Fort Worth since 1975. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University and obtained his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center. Mr. Barlow was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1986 and has been practicing criminal law ever since.

Mr. Barlow began his career as an Assistant County Attorney in Weatherford, Parker County, Texas. In 1987, he joined the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office as a Misdemeanor Prosecutor. Over time, Mr. Barlow advanced through the ranks and came to hold a number of supervisory positions with in the office, including Felony Prosecutor, Chief of the Tarrant County Narcotics Task Force, Chief of the Gang Unit, Chief of the Juvenile Division, and Chief of the 213th District Court. In the year 2000, Mr. Barlow left the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office to enter private practice. Since that time, he has used his expertise in complex criminal matters to assist and defend those citizens accused of criminal offenses. He Joined Bailey & Galyen in 2008, and is pleased to bring his 22 years of experience in criminal law to the firm.

Mr. Barlow is Board Certified in Criminal Law. This is a specialization that requires extensive courtroom and trial experience, the recommendation of peers and judges, and the successful completion of a complex and very difficult specialization examination. The certification must be renewed every 5 years by the showing of continued courtroom experience and legal training. Mr. Barlow has been continuously Board Certified in Criminal Law since 1994.
