Mrs. Barnett has been a member of the Parker County community for the past fifteen years. She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2003. Mrs. Barnett received her Degree of Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan School of Law and her Degree of Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Texas at Arlington.
For the past three years, Mrs. Barnett has served as an assistant county attorney in the Parker County Attorney's office. Mrs. Barnett has prosecuted all types of Class A and Class B misdemeanors and has most recently worked on developing a domestic violence unit for the Parker County Attorney's office. She has spoken at several law enforcement training seminars.
Prior to working as a prosecutor, Mrs. Barnett handled family law cases, appeals, and contracts in the area of equine law. Mrs. Barnett is an avid horsewoman and is co-owner of a horse training/breeding facility.
