Luis Manuel Julia was born and raised in Puerto Rico.  The son of a US Navy physician, he traveled and lived extensively throughout the United States, graduating from RE Fitch High School in Groton, CT with honors.  He subsequently attended Columbia University in New York City, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1988.  Mr. Julia was recruited by Aetna Casualty & Surety Company for a comprehensive insurance internship in all aspects of the insurance industry.  He worked for Aetna Casualty & Surety Company in their Richardson, Texas offices from 1988 to 1992 as an insurance claims representative in their property and third party claims departments.  He was also a member of Aetna’s Catastrophe Assistance Team, providing emergency insurance services to catastrophe victims throughout the nation.  In 1992, Mr. Julia attended law school at the Southern Methodist University School of Law in Dallas, Texas.  He graduated from SMU Law in 1995.

Throughout his career as a workers’ compensation attorney, Mr. Julia has successfully handled thousands of cases for injured workers, representing them at hearings before the state, appeals, and serving as consultant and expert witness in litigation involving workers’ compensation issues.

Mr. Julia currently manages the McAllen law office and oversees a statewide workers’ compensation practice for the firm.  He is fluent in both English and Spanish.  Mr. Julia is well known in the Rio Grande Valley for providing personal representation to injured workers Valleywide.  He deeply believes that every injured worker should have adequate representation for the protection of their legal rights.
