Julie Johnson was born in Dallas, Texas and grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. Ms. Johnson graduated from Grand Prairie High School and has lived, raised a family and worked in the community of Grand Prairie for most of her life. She has spent much of her time serving in many volunteer capacities in the community.

Ms. Johnson received an associate's degree as a certified paralegal from El Centro College in Dallas, County and received an undergraduate degree from University of North Texas in Criminal Justice and Sociology. Ms. Johnson has also attended Arlington Baptist College for studies in biblical studies and elementary education. While working full time as a paralegal in family law Ms. Johnson returned to attend Texas Wesleyan University School of Law and there she received her Juris Doctorate and subsequently was admitted to the Texas State Bar in November 2005. Ms. Johnson has practiced in twelve counties within the last three years and has experience in the practice of family law, criminal law, probate and other general civil matters. She has also served as an extern with The Family Place and Legal Aid of North Texas in Dallas, providing legal services, as well as with the Juvenile Court in Tarrant County as an intern.

Ms. Johnson is currently an active member of her church serving in the youth ministry, choir, Awanas program and in the multi-housing mission. She also serves as a board member of the International Museum of Cultures and volunteers at the Sound Options pregnancy center in South Dallas County and the Bridges Safehouse in Cedar Hill. Additionally, she has provided pro bono legal services for A Place for Grace, foster home, in Parker County.

Ms. Johnson has managed a family law department of as many as six paralegals and multiple attorneys while handling a heavy case load of her own and a committed volunteer schedule as well. Her practice has always focused on family law with over ten years experience in the family law field and additional experience in other civil and criminal matters handling divorce, child custody, adoption, annulment, probate, protective orders, contempt and enforcement matters, and out of state transfer and registration matters.
